Sold!!! Congrats to Emily and Bud Boone!! :)
Jasmine was purchased from the auction by my aunt in 2001. I purchased her about six months later in June of 2001. We were told Jasmine was born in 1990, making her 19 years old. We dont know too much about where she came from or her past. We believe she may have had a rough past as she was a very shy, untrusting, and scared mare. She is now a great companion and a good trail horse. Jasmine has wonderful gaits and is fun to ride. Jasmine had a 2005 foal. His name is Booker and he is a registered half arabian gelding! Jasmine makes a nice leisure trail horse and a good pasture buddy. She is a wonderful mom and did great when she had her 2005 foal.
Jasmine is a sweet girl. She can be nervous at times but with reassurance and patience she is usually a good mare. Jasmine hates shots. She has to have her eye covered so she cant see the needle coming and an occasional twitch if she is real bad to get her vaccinations done. She also doesnt like to load into trailers. She is usually fine loading in a stock trailer but it takes a while to get her into a 2 horse trailer.
Jasmine stands great to have her feet trimmed. She ties good and loves to be groomed. Jasmine hates clippers near her head or ears but tolerates scissors to trim her bridle path. When I first got Jasmine you could barely spray her with fly spray or the hose. She now stands to be sprayed with fly spray but gets touchy if you get too close to her head. She is still not a fan of getting bathes and but is good for the most part.
Jasmine is very light on the bit and stops very well. She neck reins really nice. She has a great canter. Jasmine has been ridden by experienced children in group rides and she does great. In my opinion Jasmine will never be a show horse as that atmosphere makes her too nervous. I have brought her to a show when I was showing my other mare and she didnt like it much and was very nervous. I was going to show her as her gaits would be perfect for western classes but she just doesnt have the show mentality. But she may be a show horse some day with some training.
Jasmine is available for sale for $500 OBO. Offers considered. Delivery possible. She will go to a home that I know will take care of her well. She is an older mare and has her quirks and I dont want to let her fall into the wrong hands like in her past.
